Cancer Research UK is proud to announce a new
partnership with Shopiago, helping to drive its ecommerce operations nationwide
and support its online sales. The partnership, which started in April 2023,
uses Shopiago Ecommerce software and is showing encouraging results so far.
Shopiago’s Ecommerce software transforms operations
for charities, by making it easier to sell online on eBay. Online sales on
donated stock often sell for higher prices than in-store, which enables
charities to make more money from every donation, ultimately raising more vital
funds. Shopiago is proud to work with the majority of charities across the UK
and is a Certified B Corporation, as part of World of Books Group.
Using this transformative technology, Cancer
Research UK’s retail network has increased efficiencies throughout its
operation, listing twice as fast on key ecommerce categories such as clothing
and accessories. This has additionally driven further changes at a head office
and warehouse level.
“Cancer Research is the world’s leading cancer
charity and has an incredibly engaged shop and retail network. We are encouraged
to see such impressive results in the initial roll-out period and look forward
to our continued partnership helping raise vital funds. ” Hollie Capell,
Customer Success Manager at Shopiago.
Julie Byard, Director of Trading at
Cancer Research UK, said: “We’re excited about the potential of our new
partnership with Shopiago, which aims to drive online sales through our eBay
marketplace as well as improve the efficiency of our online retail operations.
The results from the initial roll-out have been very encouraging and we’re
looking forward to seeing how our work together will develop over the coming
months. We hope to see this partnership go from strength to strength.
“We aim to make the most of every
donation we receive from our supporters and raise as much money as possible to
fund life-saving cancer research. We believe our partnership with Shopiago will
support this and create more opportunities to grow our online sales in the
future, allowing us to fund more research which will help more people to live
longer, better lives free from the fear of cancer.”
